Where I am?

So much has gone in the past few months. I can't explain and I don't know where to begin. Maybe this will explain some things. Here's a link to my newest blog.

This is wild.

So... I found a blogger app for my iPhone and holy cow, you have no idea how excited I am! Haha now I can post small things throughout the day, wherever I am. Isn't the advancement of technology crazy? I swear. I'll never keep up. But that's okay, I'm not the type to stay informed in that way. Haha
Anyway, first post from phone!
Here's a picture of my best friend, Anna and I wearing daisy chains that we made. It was delightful to make them.

September, school and iPhone covers

Hello there everyone!

I know, it's been a little while. It's been one crazy September, but I've really missed blogging so it's nice to have my life ironed out enough to be able to go back at it. :)
Earlier in the month my family took a road trip up to San Francisco, it was delightful and tomorrow I'll post some pictures from our adventures.
School has also given me a wild ride. I'm home schooled, but I'm taking an intense reading and writing course outside of home and getting used to that has been chaotic but I'm really enjoying it now that I have my schedule up and running. ;)

Anyway, it's bed time but I wanted to share this unique iPhone cover I found on etsy (I know, I've been on etsy again, please forgive my addiction)
iPhone 2G, 3G, 3Gs Skin: The Right Friends by Nidhi Chanani
Isn't it sweet? I'm planning to buy it, it's not everyday you find a beautiful iPhone cover like this. Seriously, if you have an iPhone, you should check this seller out!
Here's the link to their shop. Oh, and this design is irresistible as well:

Hope your weekend is well, have a beautiful Sunday!

Just a little off topic...

I came on here with a certain post in mind but then I spotted these little guys on etsy and I had to share. :)

Aren't these little guys adorable? I'm totally in love. Owls have always been a favourite of mine. We went to the zoo the other day and I could have just stared at the owls for forever. They have a special little charm to them, completely irresistible. :)

Captain America!

Aside from having a completely lazy Avatar: The Last Airbender marathon yesterday, Drake and I went to see Captain America: The First Avenger. It was really, really good!
I'm not big on Super Hero movies and I don't usually take interest but after great reviews from both my mom and brother I decided to see it and I'm so glad I did!
There were so many good things about this movie. I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it so I won't say much but I think that if you haven't seen it, you should. I was very impressed with the way situations were handled and Captain America proved to be very heroic and truly someone who would risk everything for the better of other people. He didn't ask for anything in return or think that he was better or deserved more then others because of his talents or what he had done. He was a humble, ready to serve king of guy who showed true character. I think that that's incredibly important and something to walk away from the movie thinking about.
        So, go see Captain America!

In the last days of summer, I think I'll have an Avatar saturday

Yesterday was so nice. I got to spend the entire day with my fantastic brother, Drake. It started at around 5:45 in the morning. The reasoning? Well, a few weeks ago we saw an episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, neither of us are ever really interested in watching TV, especially me. But for some reason this show had us totally hooked. We found out that we had it on our Netflix instant play and we decided to watch through the entire 3 seasons together, in order. So, we thought it would be a good idea to have an Avatar saturday. Get up at the crack of dawn and watch as many episodes as we wanted.
It was so much fun! I think we watched like, 16 episodes. hehe I really enjoy this show. I think the plot is well planned, the characters are great and consistant, the animation is beautiful, it's really exciting and super funny. :)
On side note, Drake ate 5 donuts while we were watching it. haha I ate none, cause the gluten but his enjoyment of them (because he never gets them) was a funny thing to watch and hard to believe. Our kitty, Pippa, also kept as entertained. She sat in front of the TV and watched with great interest, it was so cute!
Sometimes I get all paranoid and think that there's so much to do and just relaxing is a total waste but really, it's important every once in a while. I haven't had a lazy saturday in ages and it felt really good. Drake and I got to spend some great time together and that's really important. I feel so good today because I let myself charge up instead of making myself do to much. Now, I feel ready for anything. Bring on the week!

P.S. We also saw Captain America yesterday and I'll blog about that in a bit. :)

Coldplay - Major Minus (Official)

Some quick finds to enjoy

Etsy is SUCH a time consuming place. I could spend forever looking at all the beautiful art, in every form, that other people have made. Each and everyone has their own style and handprint on their work. I am blown away sometimes at the beauty and creativity that I had to share some of what I have found on here. Enjoy!

HP7

I thought maybe I should dedicate a post for one of the biggest things as far as my summer goes... Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 2)!!

it.
has.
ended.

beautifully.

oh my goodness, I was blown away. I saw it at midnight with a bunch of my Harry Potter nerd friends. (The only way to see such a film) We waited in line for a very long time and then waited in the theater for a very long time and then.. (the trailers started, they went on for far to long, and then, finally the screen went black for a moment and reappearing onto the screen was the story I love so much. "This is it," I said to myself "this is the last Harry Potter anticipation you'll ever feel." so me and the rest of the nerds in aud 11 sat and watched the last part of Harry's story unfold.
I promise to keep any spoilers at bay so I won't say much but I laughed, clapped, cried ad cheered throughout the whole thing. :)
Here's some pics!

Hmm...

There's so much on my mind. Summer has been a wild time. goodness. haha(:

First off I thought I'd share a little secret. Sunflower seed butter! You MUST try it. I like the Trader Joe's brand but you can also get it at Mother's Market. I think it's one of the best things I have eaten in my entire life. :) If you try it and like it, I recommend this recipe for cookies:

1 cup sunflower seed butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg

mix ingredients together and place on pan in little balls. Press the little balls down with a fork like you would if you were making peanut butter cookies. Don't cook for too long, about 8-10 mins. Then cool and enjoy!

Sorry I don't have a picture but they are awfully cute. (and gluten-free!!)

Anyway, I'll be posting soon about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2, I just have to upload some pictures and I'm failing at it. haha
There's so much I could write about but I don't want to bore you so I'll stop. Pictures will be up soon about Guatemala. Exciting! I miss it to much there that I still get emotional looking at the pictures though. :')

Enjoy your wednesday!

The Time Has Come

The time has come for me to reappear on this blog. I know, it's been forever and really, I can't think of a good excuse, although, I have now been to Guatemala! But I'll talk about that more later. Anyway, I was starting to get bashful about coming on here again because my blog has been so neglected. But now I am back and that's the main thing, right? And I have so much more to share. :)
I'm going to post some pictures very soon but right now I'm just breaking the ice. So... Hello again!

Saturday Morning!

Good morning everyone!
Is it just me or do Saturday mornings have a different, special feeling? They always make me want to wake up early instead of late. Why is that? :)
I had gluten-free waffles and coffee this morning. An amazing mix. Now, it's time for me to get ready for ballet.(!)

Here's some pretty ballet pictures!

Have a great morning!

Ballet

shots, perfume and books.

Yesterday I learned that getting the shot doesn't hurt. It's the pain AFTERWARDS that isn't fun. haha We're going to Guatemala with our church in June and there are required shots to go on the trip. I'm at 1 down, 2 to go! Aren't shots terrible? At least I got a cute band-aid. ;)

On a happier note, here's some things that have been making me happy lately. :)

1. Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume. I don't wear perfume, but I love this bottle! I love the daisies! :)

2. The Teen Vogue Handbook. I got the book at Barnes and Noble when I had $20 to spend there. I wanted to buy something that I knew I wouldn't normally spend the money on but that I knew I would enjoy very much. This book has taught me so much about the fashion industry and even though I'm not sure what on earth I'm going to do later in life, fashion is an interest. :)

 3. I just started reading Sense and Sensibility on the plane ride home and I'm enjoying it very much! I love the movie and I know the book will be even better. (they always are)

I'll post some more later! Have a marvelous afternoon!

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice by DaisyChainThoughts on Polyvore.com
I love Pride and Prejudice! I'm dying to re-read the book sometime soon but we'll see if that happens. I have so much on my reading list as it is. haha :)

Maybe you were wondering...

Maybe you were wondering where on earth I've been or maybe you haven't even noticed that I've been gone. I've been out of town and decided not to take my computer because I didn't really want to lug it around the entire two weeks. I thought of sooo many things to blog about while I was away and now that I'm back my updates should be many.

About the Royal Wedding post. I don't have the pictures on my computer yet so it will take a bit longer to post that. I know, it's way over due and the news of the Royal Wedding has subsided but I'm going to post it anyway. :)

About that Easter dessert. Here it is! (Sorry the picture isn't that great.)
My neighbor Carol (Also mentioned below) made this extremely yummy desert. And the best part is... It's naturally gluten-free! haha Made everything even better. :)
It's called a Pavlova cake, it's made of meringue, strawberries and heavy whipping cream. Yummm. All my favourites. ;)
The cake is named after the famous and beautiful ballerina, Anna Pavlova. The dessert was created in her honer when she was traveling as a dancer. Isn't that neat?

I hope you have a wonderful wednesday!

Trying to manage my life and a blog

So, if you all have noticed, I haven't been blogging very frequently. But managing my life and doing everything I need to along with the other little things I get joy out of, like reading Harry Potter with Drake (we are on the last chapter!) makes it difficult, for me at least, to manage a blog. I love it so much when I have the time though. I tell my mom many times a day, that I would rather be blogging and posting pictures and sharing things that I find with others so that hopefully they can feel the joy that I felt when I first discovered them. There's also the trouble of sometimes I have no idea on earth what to blog about or share but as I talked with my neighbor Carole on Easter she reminded me that in art, there are days when thousands of ideas are running through your mind and then there are days were you go completely blank. You can't force anything out of yourself because it won't end up being something you love. Art can't be a duty, it has to be a joy. Same with blogging. Sometimes I never have enough time to post all the things I want to and sometimes I stare blankly at the computer and eventually give up. By now you're probably not reading this because I'm rambling and typing my thoughts down quickly, only making sense in my own head. But there are my thoughts, out here on this page. I hope to be more consistent from now on but I always hope that.
Oh, tomorrow is the Royal Wedding! And I will be posting something in honer of the special day so check back. Also, I had the most wonderful dessert on Easter and I'll be posting about that soon also.

Madeline

The Prestige

A mysterious story of two magicians whose intense rivalry leads them on a life-long battle for supremacy -- full of obsession, deceit and jealousy with dangerous and deadly consequences. From the time that they first met as young magicians on the rise, Robert Angier and Alfred Borden were competitors. However, their friendly competition evolves into a bitter rivalry making them fierce enemies-for-life and consequently jeopardizing the lives of everyone around them. Set against the backdrop of turn-of-the-century London. (Source)

The other night I watched 'The Prestige' with my mom and oh goodness, it was intense. I love movies that make you think and take you to a deeper level of human thought and this movie completely took my mind somewhere else and the whole time I wanted to discover what it meant, what was going on and why they did what they did. Following the story of these two obsessed magicians was thrilling and horrifying as their lives fell about around them and yet they hardly noticed till the end. The mystery and secrets behind it kept you wanting to know more. It's not a movie I could watch all the time but it's something I'm glad a saw and one I will always remember. Some of it was not for the faint-at-heart. I can't really explain why because I'd give it away but let's just say I kind of freaked out and grabbed the nearest pillow. ;) But that's just me, haha. I liked the whole magician part of it and watching the tricks they performed. But what can I say, I love magic! I'm also fond of movies that involve stage life and the performer because I love to perform. I love the artistry behind it. Anyone who wants to see a well done film with a hard to uncover plot, this is the movie for you! Although, don't expect to walk away feeling light hearted, expect to walk away almost confused with something new to think on. :)

The Little Things

So much has been going on but I thought I'd post just a little bit and hopefully be able to do more later. :)

I found two extremely cute vintage flower glasses at the street fair that I'm hoping to put up a picture of them soon. I getting so much joy out of just drinking water out of them. Isn't it funny how the little things can bring the most joy?

Speaking of little things, look at this wonderful little find I made on esty! (Source) You should check out all the other little houses she has on her etsy. So adorable!

And now just a few inspiring pictures before I go(:

Happy thursday! Friday is just around the corner!

Street fair!

Sorry, I've been meaning to post more, but when I have the time I have many things rant about. (I know you're exctied! ;)) So, what I have to say right now is that our neighborhood is having their annual street fair this weekend and I'm about to go and check it out with my mom. YES! I LOVE the street fair. I hope to find something amazing. But the best part is being outside in this fabulous weather and seeing so many neighbors and friends.
Well, TTFN, Ta ta for now!

Piecemakers

Hello all! Today I'm very excited because my mom and I are going to Piecemakers. It's an amazing fabric store that sells the most beautiful felt. :) Tonight after I get back from Ballet we are going to watch a movie and sew with our new felt. YES! I'm kind of thinking I'll make a cute felt fox ('cause foxes are the best!) but it's still to be announced. ;) Anyway, whatever I end up making I'll post a picture of it on here.

Stop, breath and think about something you enjoy today. :)
